Acclaimed Tamil writer-director AR Murugadoss who is made his name as one of the top rung directors in India, with his film ‘Ghajani’ in Telugu, Tamil and Hindi is getting ready to direct another film with Shruti Haasan and Surya. According to reports AR Murugadoss who directed Aamir Khan in ‘Ghajani’ that earned Rs 248 crores was the biggest film in the Indian film industry till it was surpassed by ‘3 Idiots’, which has made Rs 324 crores till now.

According to reports AR Murugadoss who has till now made only 5 films, but all of them blockbusters; namely ‘Dheena’ (2001), ‘Ramana’ (2002), ‘Ghajini’ (2005), ‘Stalin’ (2006), ‘Ghajini’ (hindi) (2008) is set to start shooting of the yet untitled film from end of February, 2010.  The title, the shooting schedule, the cast and all the other particulars of this project are still awaited. Apart from Shruti Haasan, elder daughter of Kamal Haasan and Surya with whom he has ‘Ghajini’ (2005). Earlier Asin who acted in both ‘Ghajini’ films was set to play the female lead actress in the film, to be produced by Udhayanidhi Stalin of Red Giant Movies.

The producers are planning to make the film simultaneously in Hindi, Telugu and Tamil and Shruti Haasan and Surya will act in all 3 versions. The producers reportedly wanted Shruti Haasan instead of Asin as reportedly Shruti Hasasan has a face which is more suited for Bollywood, though Asin is now-a-days working more in Bollywood films. Shruti Haasan recently made her debut in Bollywood with ‘Luck’ opposite Aamir Khan’s nephew Imran Khan. It may be known that Suryam, the hero of Tamil ‘Ghajini’ is making his debut in Bollywood with Ram Gopal Varma directed ‘Rakta Charitra’.
